For any testing involving minors or vulnerable adults:
Consent must be provided by a parent, guardian, or legally authorised individual
Identification and authority will be verified
No testing will proceed without proper consent
All staff and collectors must:
Maintain professional boundaries
Report concerns immediately
Follow safeguarding procedures
Ensure privacy and confidentiality
Act in the best interests of the client
Safeguarding concerns may include:
Physical, emotional, or sexual abuse
Neglect or exploitation
Coercion or pressure to participate in testing
Domestic or family conflict
Any concerns will be taken seriously.
If a safeguarding concern is identified:
It will be documented clearly
Reported to the appropriate safeguarding authority
Action taken to protect the individual
We follow statutory guidance including Working Together to Safeguard Children and the Care Act 2014.
Information is shared only when necessary to protect an individual or comply with legal obligations.
All data is handled in line with UK GDPR.
Staff involved in testing receive safeguarding awareness training appropriate to their role.
This policy is reviewed annually or sooner if legislation changes.
